MANY a famous actor has taken on the role of the nation’s favourite pipe-smoking sleuth, including Robert Downey Jr and Benedict Cumberbatch.This time, it’s the turn of comedian Joe Pasquale, who stars in a new comedy version of the detective’s most popular tale.
Ha Ha Holmes And The Hound Of The Baskervilles won critical acclaim as a “hilarious” show when it went on national tour in 2011.
This autumn it’s back with another tour, and is calling in at local theatres the Wycombe Swan and the Hexagon in Reading.
The show is written by Ben Langley (he also plays Doctor Watson), who has worked as a street performer in London’s Covent Garden for 17 years. Other shows he has worked on in the same series include Ha Ha Hamlet! and Ha Ha Hitler!
