Much ado for show

THEATRE company Reading Between the Lines will stage their interpretation of Much Ado About Nothing next month.

THEATRE company Reading Between the Lines will stage their interpretation of Much Ado About Nothing next month.

The company have given Shakespeare’s play their own twist, focusing on the debate surrounding women in the army, serving on the frontline. It is set at a garrison town, Messina-Upon-Thames when British troops are returning from Afghanistan after the UK’s final withdrawal.

The production will take place in the round, inside the arches of St James’ Church in Reading before transferring to Basingstoke Haymarket and Greenwich Theatre. Music will be provided by Benjamin Hudson.

Special events include a pay what you want night (minimum £5) on opening night, February 4, and a tweet night, on February 13, where the audience can follow the characters on Twitter.
