IT may be halfway through January but it is panto time in Shiplake!

IT may be halfway through January but it is panto time in Shiplake!

The Shiplake and Dunsden Dramatic Organisation are staging Dick Whittington at Shiplake Memorial Hall.

The classic tale includes the usual suspects for panto, a hero Dick Whittington (and his cat), sneaky rats led by an evil queen, and a maiden to fall in love with.

Director Pip Collings said: “This is a classic tale with a modern twist. The whole cast and crew have worked incredibly hard and I have no doubt it will be a great success. I’m really looking forward to it.”

The show runs from Thursday, January 29 to Saturday, January 31, with a matinée on Saturday.

Tickets are available at the post office in Binfield Heath and the Corner Shop in Lower Shiplake and on the door.
