The self-styled bad boys of abridgement, the Reduced Shakespeare Company, are back with a new show, The Complete History of Comedy (abridged), coming to the Wycombe Swan on Tuesday, March 24.

The show, which was a critical success at last year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, covers comedy through the ages, from Aristophanes and Shakespeare to Vaudeville and Charlie Chaplin.

From cavemen telling 'rock rock' jokes, to Chris Rock and everything in between, the three-man troupe  promise to leave no joke untold as they deconstruct the history of comedy in 90 rollicking minutes.

The Company were last seen on these shores with long-running comedies The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged), following The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).

Tickets are £16. Call 01494 512000 or visit www.wycombeswan.co.uk.
