Take a ride back to Forties America

A COMPANY of actor–musicians will take the Watermill Theatre audience on a toe–tapping ride across America

A COMPANY of actor–musicians will take the Watermill Theatre audience on a toe–tapping ride across America in Tuxedo Junction.

It’s the Forties and Hollywood is booming, gasoline and nylon stockings are rationed, and women are wearing their hair in Victory rolls, putting on red lipstick and jitterbugging with GIs.

The music scene is swinging with jazz, crooners and everything in between, and from Tuesday next week to Saturday, April 11, you can join them for classic songs from the period, including

Tuxedo Junction, The A Train, It Had To Be You, You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To
and

Blue Skies.

The company includes Alex Evans (Sunset Boulevard), Julian Littman (Radio Times and Hot Mikado) and Karen Mann (Copacabana, Spend Spend Spend!, Sweeney Todd).

Book online at www.watermill.org.uk or call the box office on 01635 46044.
