Fabulous without Shadow of doubt

THE Bourne Again Shadows played to a delighted capacity crowd at Sonning’s Mill theatre last Friday.

The tribute band was backing Cliff Richard tribute artist Simon Goodall, who had the audience on their feet dancing and singing to chart-toppers such as Summer Holiday, Living Doll, Move It and Please Don’t Tease, while The Bourne Again Shadows’ instrumental set featured number one hits including Apache, Wonderful Land, Foot Tapper and Dance On.

Mill general manager Davis Vass said: “Simon and the guys put on a fabulous show. The audience reaction was great... they gave the band a standing ovation.”

The band was formed around Winnersh guitarist Graham Hyde, who recruited Brian Haycock from Swallowfield as lead guitarist and Shiplake drummer Chris Wright, along with bass guitarist John Ross, who lives in Chalfont St Giles.

Chris then recruited Steve Palmer from Maidenhead to play keyboards.

They are due to play a show at Norden Farm in Maidenhead on October 30.
