A ONE-MAN play about the life of film comedian Stan Laurel is coming to The Mill at Sonning this week — for one afternoon only.
Jeffrey Holland, who starred as Spike in the hit Eighties sitcom Hi-de-Hi!, plays the title character in Mr Laurel on Tuesday (October 20).
Set in the bedroom of a sick Oliver Hardy, we join Laurel during a visit to the dying man. Recounting their past successes as the comedy double act Laurel and Hardy, the play is a humorous and touching look at one of the great cinematic partnerships of the 20th century.
The show starts at 2.30pm and is followed by a Q&A.
Unusually for The Mill, tickets are for the play only, priced £10, but snacks will be on sale beforehand. To book, call 0118 969 8000.
