Professional theatre company, Reading Between the Lines (RBL), are looking for aspiring professional actors from Henley and the surrounding area to be a part of their highly praised, professional production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
If successful, applicants will be part of the entire production process, led by highly experienced director, Hal Chambers (Five Stars, The Guardian). They will play a speaking, ensemble part, be allocated a professional actor mentor who will work with them on breathing techniques and acting skills, work on drama school auditions and much more. The production is full of music, so an ability to sing and play an instrument is a bonus, but other than that, a desire to act alongside professionals from the West End, RSC, National Theatre and many more of the nation’s top theatres is all that’s needed.
Henley resident Oliver Dench took part in the scheme for RBL in 2013 and has since acted with many professional companies, including the Royal Shakespeare Company, whilst others have gone on to achieve places at leading drama schools.
RBL are passionate about making this an incredible experience for anyone from Henley, or the immediate area, wanting to learn more about becoming a professional actor. If this is you or if you know someone who might be interested then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
now, or visit www.readingbetweenthelines.co.uk
for more information.
You will need to be available from Monday 30th May – Sunday 26th June, though specific timings will be released and we can occasionally work around other work commitments.
RBL also offer backstage and production work experience opportunities, where interns get to work with a top designer, stage manager, lighting and sound professionals and the company producers. If you’d like to learn more then please get in touch.
Tickets for the production, which runs at Mill Meadows Putting Green, Henley, between 15th June – 25th June, are on sale now from www.readingbetweenthelines.co.uk
