TWO of best-loved broadcasters in cricket are coming to the Kenton Theatre as their UK tour enters its second innings.
Following a hugely successful autumn leg, bastions of the BBC’s
Test Match Special, Henry Blofeld and Peter Baxter, are back by popular demand with a spring extension of their hit show Rogues on the Road.
Featuring all-new material, this promises to be crammed full of even more wonderful — and occasionally outrageous — cricket broadcasting anecdotes.
With more than 80 years in the commentary box and touring the globe between them, Henry and Peter have some great tales to tell.
Henry “My dear old thing” Blofeld is one of Britain’s most loved and recognisable broadcasters, while legendary
TMS producer Peter Baxter has been corralling lost passports, misplaced visas, and errant broadcasters for over 34 years.
Between them they’ve seen plenty of shenanigans, so come ready to be shocked and entertained by good men behaving badly.
The show is at the New Street theatre on Thursday, March 24, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21 and can be booked by calling (01491) 575698 or visiting www.kentontheatre.co.uk
