MUSICAL actress Marti Webb is returning to Henley’s Kenton Theatre this month.
She will perform a range of her work with a band in Marti Webb in Concert on June 25.
Webb, 72, officially opened the refurbished foyer at the New Street theatre in September before delighting audiences with her one-woman show Tell Me On A Sunday.
Despite suffering with a cold, she received a standing ovation.
She contacted Ed Simons, the theatre’s chairman of trustees, asking to return and he was thrilled.
Webb told the Henley Standard: “It was so lovely last time and we enjoyed ourselves so much — it was fabulous. The Kenton is a lovely theatre with good sight lines and sound.”
She has performed in numerous West End shows including Evita, Oliver!, Godspell, Cats, Thoroughly Modern Mille, The Card, Blood Brothers and The Seven Deadly Sins.
Her new show features songs and hits from throughout her career.
Webb said: “I find it’s more exciting each time you go out there because you don’t know what’s going to happen
“I hope it’s entertaining for people. The musicians are so good it’s a joy to sing with them. There’s something about live music — you can’t beat it.”
