A NEW job club will be created in Henley to help tackle unemployment in the town.
The organisation is the idea of businessmen Doug Ullah and Mark Sayers and will be run from the d:two centre in Market Place.
The pair, who will work on a voluntary basis, will be attending a training course at the end of June with the view to starting the club at the end of July or the beginning of August.
It will run in conjunction with Nomad, a youth and community project based at the d:two, and Christians Against Poverty, a national charity, working across the UK to lift people out of debt and poverty.
Mr Ullah, who lives in Main Street, Stoke Row, said: “As far as I’m aware there’s nothing quite like this in Henley.
