The objections were backed by Henley Town Council, which wanted the club’s closing time brought forward from 2am to before midnight.
Homeowners have been warned to be on their guard against a man police call “The Knocker” who is said to be operating in the Henley area. The burglar calls at the door of his victims’ home before breaking in when there is no reply or speaking to them and waiting until the owner goes out.
