THE Greyhound in Whitchurch has lost its fourth landlord in three years.
Ray Cameron, who took over the High Street pub in September, has quit and moved out of the village.
The business is now being run on a temporary basis by Andy Prior, a chef who joined the staff in the autumn.
Mr Prior, who previously worked at the Rowbarge in Woolhampton, hopes to become permanent landlord and has put in a bid to Punch Taverns, the owner.
In the meantime, the lease is still being advertised.
The pub could not serve food last week but the kitchen has now
re-opened and Mr Prior is to hold a free Seventies and Eighties-themed disco tomorrow night (Saturday).
The pub was run by Bob and Carole North for many years until 2014, when it was taken over by Ruan Keegan. He quit a year later and was replaced by Nick Baker, who refurbished the premises.
Mr Baker quit in the spring last year, claiming the pub was not viable.
The post remained vacant for five months before Mr Cameron, from Thatcham, took over.
