GORING ROBINS U10s ran out 11-5 aggregate winners in their recent Oxford Mail Boys’ League clash with QUARRY ROVERS U10s.
In their first match the Robins won 7-4. The hosts took the lead through an own goal after a succession of corners. Will Graham scored swiftly after from a one-on-one situation with the keeper.
A third goal from the Robins saw keeper Cusack score direct from a free kick well inside his own half. Quarry scored just before the interval. In the second half Rowan Prince scored the first two of his three goals. Defensive lapses allowed Rovers to score twice before Prince completed his hat-trick and Ben Hunt netted the final goal.
In the second match the Robins ran out 4-1 winners with Josh Wiltshire netting a hat-trick, the first of which was scored from outside the area. Lloyd netted Robins’ fourth of the match.
George Dodd pulled off a good save for the Robins at full stretch and flying through the air to tip a headed corner round the post.
