ROTHERFIELD UNITED leapfrogged BRACKNELL ROVERS in the John Dell Senior Division after running out 3-2 winners at Bishopswood.
Bracknell started brightly and took a two goal lead within 10 mins.
Rotherfield pulled a goal back when Adam Choules advanced into the area from left back and a mix-up between the Bracknell defence and keeper saw the ball fall to Ben Keable to score from six yards out.
Rotherfield continued to pile on the pressure and equalised when a Bracknell defender handled in the area and Ricky Sidhu converted the penalty.
Rotherfield scored the winning goal when Keable played through Candish and he dinked the ball over the on-rushing keeper.
WARGRAVE eased through to the second round of the Berkshire Trophy Intermediate Cup with a comprehensive 6-2 win away to fellow Divisnio 1 side BERKSHIRE UNITED.
The visitors went 1-0 up through Charles Bettes after good work from Tom Bray before conceding a sloppy equaliser.
Bray restored the lead before Berkshire hit back to equalise once more.
In the second half Wargrave took full control of the game and created numerous scoring chances. Bettes added his second, Jim Woolford scored his first of the season and Bray completed his hat-trick with two further goals.
Wargrave now face a trip to Woodcote/Stoke Row Reserves in the next round of the competition.
GORING UNITED crashed out of the tournament at the first hurdle as they went down 4-0 at home to READING YMCA RAPIDS.
SONNING scraped through to the next round after winning a penalty shoot out away to Division 2 side TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE.
Jack Mews put the visitors in front on 42 minutes only for the hosts to equalise a minute later.
With the scores level at both full time and after extra time, a penalty shoot out ensued which Sonning won 3-2.
Sonning will now travel to Mortimer Reserves in the second round.
WARGRAVE RESERVES progressed to the second round of the Junior Cup with a 3-0 home win over FC READING DONS. Wargrave Reserves will now travel to White Eagles in the next round.
