MARK FARINA won the medal winners medal in the top division at Henley last weekend as the club held its final full medal competition.
Division 1 was won by Tim Arnold with a net 68 on countback from Farina. However, second place was enough to see Farina win the medal winners medal in the division.
The in-form Marcus Lovelock was third with a net 73 which was a shot better than Phil Booth, Richard Fenn and David Voss. Voss’ round of net 74 meant that he won the Division 2 medal winners medal. Division 2 was won by Mick Hilditch with a net 69 which was three shots better than Peter Ferretti and Daniel Lebeau. Alistair Goulden was in fourth place with a net 73 which was a shot better than Euan Fenwick, Stewart Mills and Len Leigh.
The best net score was in Division 3 where Neil Elliott recorded a net 66 to take top spot which was a shot better than Jonathon Fenwick.
David La Touche took third spot with a net 72 which was a shot better than Matt Taylor. Rob Edwards was fifth in this division with a net 75 which was good enough to win the medal winners medal in the division.
The ladies held a three ball alliance competition last week and this was won by the team of Sally Woolven, Sarah Arnold and Sarah Hillas with a score of 72 points. Two teams were one point behind however the trio of Rachel Hall, Ngairey Palin and Muriel Quinsac pipped the team of Sheila Needham, Pippa Shaw and Tracey Ellis on the countback rule.
