THE Henley College development team have won this year’s southern area U19 league.
Winning all seven league games the squad used 26 players during the campaign and ranged from first year diploma students to seasoned third year A level veterans.
Captained by Pete Browning, a member of the Henley Hawks, the side only conceded 20 points all season. Speaking of the achievement, Browning said: “Great defence and some really good back play made our style enjoyable to play and watch.
“We tried when we could to run the ball and offloaded in the tackle resulting in plenty of tries.
“A bit of travel as some of the colleges were on the south coast but really great to go undefeated, big thank you to the coaches, terrific.”
