TONY McCLEMENTS started life as a Hennerton member by winning the March medal overall as well as claiming the Division 3 handicap category.

McClements, who has recently joined from Bearwood Golf Club, scored an impressive 45 points. This was seven points clear of Gary Kulpa in second place.

This was highlighted by the competition scratch score of 65 and therefore making it a reductions only competition for handicapping purposes.

McClements saw his handicap swiftly cut by three shots to 23. Kulpa posted a score of 38 points to claim second place and also win the Division 2 category.

Keith Beaumont beat John Luxton to third place overall and win the Division 1 handicap category, winning on countback, after both returned scores of 36 points.


In the ladies’ March medal new member Lin Harris, who also recently joined from Bearwood, took the spoils. Harris claimed first place after returning a score of 33 points. Mavis Arding finished second after scoring 31 points with Brenda Haywood third on 25.
