ROTHERFIELD TIGERS U12s were confirmed champions of the East Berks Youth Development League on Saturday with a 2-2 draw against REEVES RANGERS U12s.
Having led the division from the start of the season, the Tigers went from strength to strength winning all bar four of their matches, which were two draws and two defeats, all season.
AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U11s signed off for their East Berks League season in style with a 4-1 win at home to BINFIELD TYPHOONS U11s.
Henley started brightly, creating several chances in the first half and were rewarded when Jem McAllister took advantage of a spilled ball by the keeper to score.
Both sides continued to trade blows for the remainder of the half with Binfield crashing a shot against the bar before slamming home a free kick from the edge of the box to level the scores.
In the second half sides continued to contribute to an entertaining game but it was Henley who pulled clear with clinical finishing. Ben Hudson scored first with a flick at the near post after a pinpoint cross from Archie Barker.
Hudson then turned provider, chasing down a lost cause down the right wing before setting up Jamie Hudson to put the game out of reach with a clinical finish.
Luke Taylor wrapped up all three points for the Hurricanes, sliding the ball home in the final seconds to complete a perfect end to the season.
