EQUESTRIAN rider Samantha Thurman-Baker had a successful outing at Addington Manor Premier League last weekend.
Riding Spring Pascal, the pair shone in the British Dressage Inter II test on Friday, winning the class after posting a score of 69.5 per cent.
The UK Sport lottery funded world class development rider and the Hanoverian bay went on to contest Saturday’s FEI Grand Prix.
Against a field of 28 riders, the 21-year-old received a score of 71.3 per cent — one of only two 70 per cent plus scores in the class — to finish second.
Thurman-Baker also competed her sister’s Highcliffe Apollo in Friday’s FEI Inter I competition, where she placed 10th in a competitive class, before finishing first in the FEI young rider team test on Saturday after posting an impressive 68.3 per cent.
