WARGRAVE lost out at home to the VENGSARKAR MUMBAI ACADEMY on Friday of last week in a Twenty20 match.
The Academy won the toss and elected to bat on a good wicket.
The visitors set about their task with clear intent as they took 39 from the first four overs.
Wargrave made a breakthrough when E Woods had Tamore caught by Thomas.
This brought Patil to the crease who continued the scoring rate taking the Academy to 186 with four overs remaining, Malik taking a boundary catch off Clark.
In an exciting final four overs the visitors pushed the run rate with wickets in hand with French picking up Patil and Aman bowling Vishal.
The Academy finished their allotted 20 overs on 247-4.
Chasing the mammoth total of 248 to win, Malik, E Woods, Robinson and Taylor set about their task well against some hostile fast bowling.
E Woods impressed with some clean hitting and expertly placed cut shots. However, when he was run out on 39 the slim chance of victory disappeared. Wargrave continued to push the run rate against some fine Indian bowling but their 125 from their 20 overs was not enough.
