THE Marlow Fours and Pairs Head was moved to Dorney on Saturday and was run in three divisions and raced over 1,900 metres.
The J14 squad were the only entries from Henley Rowing Club and competed in two coxed quad sculls, each coming home with victory.
The conditions were difficult with heavy squally showers and a strong cross wind which placed technique at a premium in the rough water.
The girls’ quad of Ruby Cooper, Ella Seabury, Ruby Fletcher, Caitlin Sutherland, and Elena Cotton as cox rowed in division 2 when conditions were at their worst and comfortably beat crews from Guildford and KCS Worcester.
The boys’ quad of William Hayes, Tom Sorotka, Andrew Lewis, Malcolm Lindsay, and cox Bradley Ralph, competing in Division 3, easily beat school crews from RGS High Wycombe and Reading Bluecoat.
