Crews at the scene of fire in first-floor maisonette in Maidenhead

Crews tackled a fire in a first-floor maisonette in Maidenhead on Tuesday afternoon.

At 4.28pm, the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) received reports of a fire on Thatchers Drive in Maidenhead.

Crews from Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an officer.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the property before ventilating smoke with a fan.

One person was taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) at the scene.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
