PAUL HOWARD ran out winner of the seventh leg of the Remenham summer series on Sunday at Milton Pools where Campbell’s Lake was fished.
Howard fished the pole with paste at five metres catching carp throughout the match weighing in 152lb 2oz to take maximum points.
This denied Geoff Edwards his second victory in two weeks as he had to settle for second place with 133lb 10oz consisting of carp caught on the pole with red maggot mainly on the inside. In third place was Pete Bowles with 122lb 4oz of carp caught on the pole with meat.
Section winners were Ian Chaplin with 78lb 8oz and Simon Bererens with 98lb. Leading points scorers after seven rounds are Edwards with 117, Bowles 116, Chaplin 107, Trevor Pearce 105 and Dick Shillitto 93.
