GEOFF EDWARDS continued to dominate the Remenham Summer Series as he won the ninth leg at Billhook lake near Odiham.
Strong winds and torrential rain for long periods of the match made fishing difficult for most but this didn’t stop Edwards as he fished the pole at four metres and then close in down the edge with pellet and corn to land skimmers and carp for a winning total of 205lb 2oz.
This was well clear of second placed Ian Chaplin who fished similar tactics, also landing carp and skimmers weighing in 111lb 10oz. Close behind in third place was Paul Howard with 106lb 8oz of carp caught on the pole with paste.
Edwards has now finished in the top two in each of the eight matches he has fished in and with his closest rival Pete Bowles not fishing this match he has stretched his lead in the series to 157 points from Chaplin with 141, Dick Shillitto 137, Bowles 132 and Trevor Pearce 118 making up the top five.
