PETE BOWLES was winner of the seventh leg in Remenham’s summer series held at Milton Pools with Campbells match lake and the match pool being fished.
Bowles fished meat on the pole at six metres for a total of 142lb 2oz of mainly carp just edging out Steve Johnson into second place with 138lb 6oz, also catching carp on the pole with meat and close behind in third was Mark Bowerman with 137lb of carp.
Section winners were Dick Shilitto with 88lb 4oz, Dave Wightman with 79lb 12oz and Trevor Pearce with 124lb 14oz.
The following week saw the eighth leg of the series being fished at Wood Lane Fisheries near Iver.
The pellet waggler dominated this match with the top three anglers all using this method to good effect.
Winner on the day was Mark Bowerman with an impressive total weight of 198lb 10oz of carp and skimmers with Geoff Edwards finishing second with 172lb 8oz and in third was Paul Howard with 132lb 6oz.
Section winners were Roger Howard with 25lb 10oz, Steve Johnson with 90lb 4oz and Graham Dodd with 99lb 2oz.
The top five points scorers after eight rounds are Shilitto with 133 points, Wightman 129, Dodd 118, Edwards 110 and Roger Howard 98.
