MARK BOWERMAN took the honours at Remanham’s 11th leg of the Chairman’s Trophy at Wood Lane Fishery near Iver.
An overnight frost put most of the fish off the feed and all the anglers struggled for bites which produced very low weights at the weigh-in.
Bowerman landed an early carp on the straight lead and added a few small roach and skimmers to weigh in 7lb 7oz. A close second was Roger Howard also with one carp landed on the pole with pellet plus roach and skimmers for 7lb 4oz and in third place was Dick Shillitto with 6lb 4oz consisting of one carp and roach and skimmers.
Graham Dodd triumphed at last weekend’s 12th leg held at New Farm Fishery near Maidenhead in windy conditions.
Dodd fished the pole at 14 metres across to the island with red maggot landing eight carp and a variety of smaller fish including perch, tench, roach, rudd, barbel and chub to weigh in a winning total of 43lb. In second place was Dick Shillitto fishing similar tactics and landing carp and small fish for 21lb 10oz and third was Malcolm Pearce with 19lb 8 oz of carp and small fish.
With just one round remaining in the series Shillitto leads the points with 189 followed by Ian Chaplin in second with 172 and Roger Howard third with 166 points.
