HENLEY COLLEGE student Luke Nelson scored a last minute three-pointer on Saturday, to send the Reading Rockets through to the final four of the English Basketball League’s play-offs.

A close opening half ended 21-17 to Leicester after the Rockets had taken a first quarter lead but the home side regained the advantage after the break to secure victory.

The Rockets ran out 73-70 winners leading to delighted celebrations from the crowd at Reading’s Rivermead.

The side will now face Essex Leopards at Manchester’s Amaechi Basketball Centre on April 27.

Nelson, who was recently named England Basketball U18 player of the year, scored 17 points in the game.
