Charity fun at cafe

AN event will be held in Henley next week to raise money for a campaign to provide sanitary products to women in Africa.

Widge Woolsey, 47, founded Ufulu after visiting Africa and realising many women don’t have access to tampons or sanitary pads.

Spoon in Duke Street will be running a coffee morning from 8am to noon on Wednesday, with 10 per cent of all drinks sales going to the project. A team from the Love Fitness gym, based at Henley Rugby Club, will be doing a sponsored row on an ergometer and attempting to clock up the length of Lake Malawi — 365 miles — on an exercise bike. David Rodger Sharp Jewellers will provide free jewellery cleaning in return for a donation.
