WARGRAVE ran out 52-46 winners in their top-of-the-table KLX home match with WINDSOR AND ETON C on Friday of last week.
In securing eight league points having won two of the three rinks on offer, Wargrave have now taken 35 from the last 40 on offer.

On Tuesday of last week WARGRAVE LADIES suffered defeat against PALMER PARK as they lost on all three rinks.
WARGRAVE narrowly won the annual Daws Cup on Wednesday of last week against TWYFORD.
After close games on all six rinks Wargrave won by just one point, 107-106, to secure the trophy.
Val Sims, Bill Cordell and David Smith won their rink 22-15, Brian Turnbull, Mary Trussler and Mike Pope 22-19 and Byron Byatt, Phyl Edwards and Ken Jones 18-17.
On Wednesday of last week SHIPLAKE defeated PANGBOURNE in a round of the Oddfellows Triples League by 125 shots to 45 to secure all 14 points on offer.
Tony Reid was 11-0 up by the sixth and scored steadily from then on, only allowing his opponent to win three ends.
Jim Bland’s opponent did score on six ends but only for singles as he cruised on to register 27. Barry Lambourne’s opponent fared even worse, scoring on only five ends for singles against 22. Barrie Evans also only let his opponent win five ends as he scored 27 points.
The closest match of the evening was 10 shots with Graham Kennedy scoring 24 to 14.

On Thursday of last week SHIPLAKE went down to a 77-68 defeat at home to OXFORD CITY AND COUNTY A in the Oxfordshire League. The visitors secured 4.5 points to Shiplake’s 1.5.
Jim Bland’s rink started well and built a sizeable lead by halfway, only to lose the last six ends, and the tie by five shots. Graham Kennedy’s four were never in contention, and slid to a 14 shot defeat.
The rink of Barrie Evans pulled back a five shot early deficit, and moved ahead only to be pegged back for a draw. Success for the home side came from the rink of Barry Lambourne, who led from beginning to end, and won by 10 shots.

SHIPLAKE LADIES ran out 22-shot winners at WOODLEY LADIES in a three rinks triples match.
In a very tight low scoring game Wendy Cross lost the last end by one to draw the game. Helen Robinson took the lead on the third end before running out the winner by 17 shots.
Sylvia Blackmore controlled her match from the start and despite dropping a five on the 16th won comfortably by five.
