SHIPLAKE ran out 88-82 winners away to GREAT HOLLANDS last Saturday in a five-triples mixed friendly.

Barry Lambourne and Dave Bullock both coasted to a 12-shot victory with Daphne Jacob the other winning skip for the visitors, winning by four. Mike Lovejoy and Len Mitton lost by five and 17 respectively.

SHIPLAKE were soundly beaten by 70 shots on Sunday when they travelled to Windsor to play ROYAL HOUSEHOLD.

The visitors lost the match by 146 shots to 76 despite being one shot up after 10 ends.

Graham Kennedy fared the best for the visitors, losing by one shot. Helen Robinson (-4), Len Mitton (-11), Wendy Cross (-13), Graham Clinch (-15) and Phil Buckett (-25), who never scored after tea, were the other skips.

PEPPARD ran out winners against AWRE in a four triples match last Saturday.

The game was interrupted by hail on two occasions which made settling into any kind of rhythm difficult.

The matches were evenly matched up to the ninth end, at which point Peppard pulled ahead on three rinks to win the game by three rinks to one.
