Watts wins U25 crown

WATLINGTON Bowls Club’s Sam Watts has won his third U25 county crown.

WATLINGTON Bowls Club’s Sam Watts has won his third U25 county crown.

Watts was competing in the Oxfordshire County Championships at Carterton last Sunday having won through to the finals in both the men’s singles and U25s men’s singles competitions.

In the morning Watts beat Dean May, of Headington in the U25s final in a tight game by 21 shots to 19. In the afternoon Watts played in the unrestricted final against Mark Sykes of Banbury Borough where he lost out by 21 shots to 14.

Watts will now compete in the national championships at Leamington Spa.
