TWO big-hearted Romans estate agents agreed to shave off all of their hair if they raised a certain amount for local charity Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, which local agency Romans has supported for several years.
At Romans’ head office in Crowthorne, operations director Barry Wild and senior move consultant Thomas Bowman agreed to a full wet shave if they each raised £1,000.
The rules stipulated a grade 0.5 shave for raising £750, grade 1 for £500 and grade 2 for £250.
On the day of the event, many employees pledged money to watch the shaving unfold, helping Thomas hit the £530 mark and earning him a grade 1 all over, while poor Barry was subjected to a painstakingly close wet shave.
In total, £1,595 was raised for Alexander Devine, which has been added to Romans’ fundraising total for the year, which currently stands at £17,775.
