Pointless show was fun for Angie

ANGIE BEST was glad to have her son Calum for support when the pair took part

ANGIE BEST was glad to have her son Calum for support when the pair took part in a celebrity edition of the BBC television game show Pointless.

Angie, who owns the Metaphysical gym at Henley Business School, and Calum, a model and DJ, made it to the final but then lost to documentary maker Louis Theroux and his wife Nancy Strang.

TV sports presenter and former England footballer Gary Lineker also took part with his son Harry.

The show sees pairs of contestants attempting to find the most obscure answers to questions in order to win as few points as possible when compared with 100 people asked the same questions. Angie, who lives in Bix, said: “It is such a giggle to do it with your son. Thank God I did because he answered all the questions — he got them all right didn’t he, the bxxxxr! I was a bit nervous in the beginning because I thought ‘this is going to make me look really stupid’ but it was great fun. I was just glad to be doing it with my boy because no matter how old they are they’re still your child and you get to hang out with them.

“Calum’s glad we did it too because we did so well. It’s something to show the grandchildren.”

For one of the questions Angie was asked to fill in the title of the Abba song Does Your Mother Know by singing the answer but actually sang Does Your Mama Know.

Angie said: “That got me off on a bad foot but other than that we had a fabulous time. They treat you so well at the BBC — it was a lovely day out.”

The episode will be aired in September.
