RESIDENTS at the Thamesfield retirement village in Henley raised almost £500 for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance by producing and selling 2017 calendars depicting works created in their weekly art group.
Friends and family, staff and fellow residents bought more than 100 copies of the calendar.
Thamesfield manager Sophia Lawrence said: “The calendar is a wonderful, creative way to raise money for a good cause. They are such a talented group and many of the artworks are produced purely from memory, perhaps of a place they have been to or something they have seen. I’d like to say a big thank-you to all of those who helped produce the calendar as well as everybody who bought a copy. It is a fantastic reflection on our retirement community.”
Calendars are available from reception at Thamesfield in Wargrave Road for £5 each
