FORMER Great Britain rower Sarah Winckless will be the guest speaker at a sports fund-raising dinner to be held at Shiplake College.
Winckless won a bronze medal in the double sculls at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. She retired in 2009 and now chairs the British Olympic Association’s Athletes’ Commission.
She is also patron of the Scottish Huntington’s Association. Having been diagnosed in 2009, she campaigns to increase awareness of the disease and raise funds to help associated charities.
Last year, she was awarded the Helen Rollason award for Inspiration.
At the dinner, she will be interviewed by BBC Radio Berkshire sports presenter and Henley Standard columnist Tim Dellor.
