A HENLEY philanthropist handed out awards at the 20th birthday of autism charity Kingwood Trust.
Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose own son Giles suffered from autism, was guest of honour at the party at the River and Rowing Museum.
More than 100 guests attended as Dame Shirley presented certificates from education board ASDAN to 14 people treated by the charity.
She said: “Organisations which survive have a sense of direction and I applaud Kingwood’s social outcomes over the years. I’m enormously proud of it.”
