A charity cyclist has raised almost £3,000 for Spinal Research with a “gruelling” 30-mile bike ride.
Rachel Wallace, from Frieth, cycled a section of the Icknield Way from Bledlow Ridge to Ivinghoe Beacon on Saturday, June 21, finishing in eight and a half hours.
She decided to take on the challenge after one of her friends was left paralysed from a cycling accident.
Mrs Wallace, who runs a photography business, also took photos of the route along the way and plans to put them up on her website as a virtual guidebook.
She said: “The ride was only supposed to be 28 miles but perhaps it hasn’t been properly measured or I got a bit lost because I ended up doing 33.
