TWO young chefs from Sonning Common have won a cooking competition.
Ellen Jeffreys and Iona Yarwood, both 14, won the young chefs competition at Chiltern Edge School.
They made up one of three teams from the Reades Lane school and another three from Gillotts School in Henley who took part in the competition.
The girls had to prepare and cook a healthy, three-course meal for two people in 90 minutes with a budget of £14.
Their dishes were mushroom and tarragon paté, followed by spinach and ricotta ravioli with a tomato sauce and a dessert of lemon ice cream and lemon curd florentines.
