There will be free parking available in some Marlow, Bourne End and South Bucks car parks this weekend and next to encourage people out for Christmas shopping.
Buckinghamshire Council is hoping to tempt residents to come out and support local businesses this festive season through its long-running Shop Local campaign.
“The county’s market towns and high streets offer a wide range of independent shops, boutiques, markets, and local services, the council wrote.
“Shopping locally helps sustain jobs and strengthens the local economy.”
To make festive shopping even more convenient, Bucks council is offering free parking after 10am on Saturday, 13 December and Saturday 20 December in council-owned car parks serving the local authority's high streets.
Locally, these include:
Steve Bowles, cabinet member for communities, said:
“We’re delighted to offer free parking and promote sustainable travel options this Christmas.
“These initiatives make it easier for residents to shop locally, support our fantastic small businesses, and enjoy everything Buckinghamshire has to offer during the festive season.”
