Football club accepts £3,000 from sponsor

WATLINGTON Town Football Club has a new chief sponsor.

WATLINGTON Town Football Club has a new chief sponsor.

Diamond Floors has signed a £3,000, two-year deal with the club, starting this season.

New kits have been purchased for each of the club’s four Saturday teams, including the under-nines, who are set to compete in the Oxford Mail youth football leagueleague for the first time.

The company’s logo will features on the new training tops worn by the Saturday teams as well as on new tracksuits for the football school coaches and volunteers.

Club chairman Paul Griffiths said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Diamond Floors as our main sponsor.

“The football club is making great strides at the moment and we hope that the club’s increased presence in the local area and beyond will bring our new sponsors a great deal of interest and attention.

“The new shirts with the Diamond Floors logo on them look fantastic and we just can’t wait to see our teams wearing them when the new season kicks off.” Ian Watton, manager of the Diamond Floors branch in Watlington, said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor Watlington Town FC. We feel that we will increase our presence in Watlington and the surrounding area.

“We look forward to a long and mutually successful association and thank the club for allowing us such exposure.”
