Snowdrop Festival postponed

THE snowdrop teas festival at St Botolph’s Church in Swyncombe this weekend has been postponed because the visitors’ car park is underwater.

The festival will take place on the following two weekends, weather permitting.

Visitors will be able to see a carpet of snowdrops and yellow aconites in the churchyard.

Teas and cakes will be sold between 2pm and 4pm each day and the ministry team will bless the snowdrops at 3pm.

A choral evensong will be held on the Sunday, February 16 at 4.30pm.

The event raises money for church maintenance. Entry is free and there are signs on the B481 to direct visitors.

Last year’s event raised more than £4,000.
