THE Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is back in the UK and will touch down at the Hexagon in Reading on March 30.
The evening will comprise a series of short exhilarating adventure films, starring the world’s top adventurers on exciting journeys.
The tour includes 14 diverse films, featuring everything from tales of high-adrenaline action to poignant environmental documentaries. There’s also a significant focus on women in adventure and a number of UK adventurers.
Programme highlights include Four Mums in a Boat, following working mums who thought they would row the Atlantic Ocean, Doing it Scared, with climber Paul Pritchard who returns to the Totem Pole in Tasmania to try and finish a climb which had left him partially paralised 18 years earlier.
The films are split between two different programmes, each lasting about two-and-a-half hours, with free prize giveaways at each screening. For more information and the full film programme, visit www.banff-uk.com/films
