Looking back at life in Crazies Hill

THE society’s last meeting was the Christmas party on December 10.

As well as food and drink, members read from the diary of George Beck, which had been obtained for the archives. Mr Beck lived in Crazies Hill and documented life in the area during the 1800s.

The society will hold its first meeting of 2014 on Tuesday (January 14), when there will be a talk by Fred Freedman on Life As The Local Chemist.

On Tuesday, February 11, Patsy Roynon will speak about The History of Loddon Drive and on Tuesday, March 11 it will be the society’s annual meeting.

Meetings are held in the pavilion in the recreation ground, Recreation Road, Wargrave, starting at 8pm.
