Second Wargrave Brownies celebrated the organisation’s centenary with a torch relay around the recreation ground.
At their meeting on April 7, the group welcomed the Brownie Candle, a specially made anniversary torch which is making its way through every unit in Berkshire.
It is marking 100 years since Lord Baden-Powell founded the organisation for girls aged between seven and 10.
The brownies took turns carrying the torch in a relay around the field in Recreation Road before holding a party in the guide hut with a birthday cake and games.
Brownies leader Tamsin Phipps said: “It is a bit of a challenge getting the Brownie Candle to all the units by June but we had the chance to have it for our last meeting of term.
