Playgroup avoids closure as parents offer help

A CHILDREN’S playgroup has been saved after parents stepped forward to help.

Harpsden Hoppers was threatened with closure when organiser Tracy Westall-Reece was left on her own to run the group.

Now, following an appeal for help, she has secured enough support for the playgroup to continue running from the start of the new term next month.

The group, which caters for around 70 children, meets every Friday at Harpsden village hall,

Mrs Westall-Reece, 32, from Stoke Row, had been looking for someone to take over the group full-time before appealing for volunteers to form a rota where each one organises and runs one session per term.
