A NEW member spoke about his life at sea during the club’s July meeting held at Badgemore Golf Club.
Roger Shaw began sailing GP14 dinghies near his Lancashire home and later sailed in the Menai Strait, a very different environment.
His wife has often accompanied him on trips in bigger boats.
Roger has sailed more than 26,000 miles and was recently commodore of the Henley Offshore Sailing Club.
One long trip he and other crew members took was from Plymouth to Greece, divided into legs sailed over three years, visiting France, Portugal, Spain and more.
