A FORMER army major gave a talk to the Henley and Peppard branch of the Royal British Legion.
Maj Steve Anning, who served in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan, spoke about “War: what’s different, what hasn’t changed”.
More than 30 members and their families attended the event at the Chantry House in Henley, including Henley Mayor Martin Akehurst and his wife Glynnis. Branch secretary Stan Ainsley organised the event as his son Benjamin studied conflict resolution with Maj Anning at King’s College London before graduating last year.
Mr Ainsley said the talk was interesting and thought-provoking and the event raised £100.
