A RECORD £3,300 was raised at the Brightwell Baldwin fete.
About 500 people attended the country garden-themed event, which was held at the Old Rectory, the home of Philip and Cassie Bassett, for the second consecutive year.
Attractions included a wine tasting game organised by Mr Bassett, music quizzes, children’s games and an opportunity to meet a bee-keeper.
Organiser Leigh Greenham said: “We had a very good turnout and a beautiful afternoon weather-wise. People hung around for ages having tea and cake because they didn’t want to leave.”
Proceeds from the event will be split between the village fund and the church fund.
