Wire mesh to protect grass

WIRE mesh will be laid on Kings Field in Wargrave to protect the grass from cars parked at football matches.

WIRE mesh will be laid on Kings Field in Wargrave to protect the grass from cars parked at football matches.

Wargrave Wolves and Wargrave Girls both play on the field and parents currently park in one corner under instruction from groundsman Martin Woods.

Councillor Marion Pope said: “People are very good with parking and Martin has kept the grass there longer so the ground isn’t impacted as much. We are lucky to have lots of children playing football but if parents could bring a couple of children rather than one child to one car, it would be better.”
